About Me
Matt Anger is an ophthalmologist with Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento, where he is accepting new patients by referral. He provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on ensuring patients understand their eye health and is always happy to answer questions.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Dr. Anger completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He then completed three years of internal medicine residency in Colorado, where he was named Intern of the Year, before specializing in ophthalmology with a residency at the University of Buffalo. During his ophthalmology training, he served as chief resident and was selected for the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received an award for academic achievement.
Dr. Anger has a special interest in cataracts and cataract surgery, as well as retinal diseases including diabetic eye disease. He chose to work with Kaiser Permanente due to its integrated care model and commitment to stellar patient service. Outside of medicine, he enjoys outdoor activities such as gold prospecting and snowboarding.
