About Me
Dr. Jeffrey Caspar is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at UC Davis Health who serves as the Director of Cataract and Refractive Surgery at the UC Davis Eye Center. He specializes in advanced cataract surgery and laser vision correction. Dr. Caspar is dedicated to patient care and education, believing that every patient should be well informed to make the best decisions regarding their care.
He utilizes the latest technologies, including laser cataract surgery, small-incision techniques, and multifocal and astigmatism-correcting lens implants, to achieve optimal outcomes, particularly in complex cases. He also offers custom and conventional LASIK and PRK for laser vision correction. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Caspar teaches cataract surgery locally, nationally, and internationally, working with organizations such as ORBIS and Liga International.
Dr. Caspar is involved in research on cataract surgery after refractive surgery and new techniques for cataract extraction. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and has received several awards for excellence in clinical care.
