About Me
Dr. Matthew B. Kaufman is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the director of refractive surgery at North Georgia Eye Associates. He is fellowship-trained in cornea, anterior segment, and refractive surgery, with specialized expertise in LASIK, PRK, and advanced cataract surgery. Dr. Kaufman provides comprehensive eye care, treating conditions such as corneal disorders and dry eye, and performs a range of refractive and corneal procedures.
He completed his ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, where he was the first resident to perform both LASIK and PRK surgery. Dr. Kaufman further honed his skills through a fellowship at the University of California, training under renowned experts. He has served as a clinical instructor and faculty instructor, contributing to the education of future ophthalmologists.
Dr. Kaufman is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology.
