Dr. Niraj Desai

Dr. Niraj Desai is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing advanced eye care in the Atlanta area. He specializes in a range of surgical and medical treatments, including cataract surgery, LASIK, and corneal conditions. His expertise encompasses corneal transplant surgery, refractive surgery, and complex anterior segment procedures. Dr. Desai is committed to delivering personalized care, utilizing the latest techniques to improve vision and eye health.

Dr. Desai completed his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, followed by an internal medicine internship at the University of Hawaii. He then pursued ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he distinguished himself by performing a high volume of surgeries. To further specialize, he completed a prestigious fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of California, Irvine, gaining extensive experience in laser corneal transplants and complex cataract surgery.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Desai enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, volunteering, and traveling. He is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati, and Medical Spanish, allowing him to connect with a diverse patient population.
