About Me
Dr. Carriker's medical career began in high school as a nurse's aide, leading her to become a registered nurse before earning her medical degree. She completed her internship at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix and pursued extensive ophthalmology training, including specialized courses at Stanford and the Estelle Doheny Eye Institute.
She focuses on advanced surgical techniques, with particular expertise in clear cornea cataract surgery and the latest intraocular lens implants, including Tecnis and Crystalens multifocal lenses. Dr. Carriker is also skilled in Epi-lasik and wavefront-guided surface ablation procedures for vision correction.
Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Carriker is an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society, where she has served as president. She holds staff privileges at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Arizona Ophthalmic Outpatient Surgery Center.
