Dr. Leslie Kanda

Dr. Leslie Kanda has always been passionate about improving people's eyesight, which led her to pursue a career in ophthalmology. She finds the human visual system fascinating and is dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care in a professional setting.

She graduated with honors from Vassar College with a degree in Biochemistry and then completed her medical degree and Ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University. Her clinical practice is informed by research on conditions like glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and eyelid and dry eye issues, ensuring she offers up-to-date treatments.

Deeply involved in her community, Dr. Kanda has served as Past President of the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society and has been recognized multiple times as a 'Top Doc' in Phoenix Magazine. She also teaches as a Clinical Assistant Professor and volunteers her expertise through free eye care clinics and telemedicine screenings for diabetic patients.
