About Me
Dr. Edelstein is a clinical associate professor of ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate. He brings a unique background in optics and laser physics, having earned a doctorate in that field from Polytechnic University of NYU and completing four years of research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He currently serves as a senior attending at Brooklyn's Veterans Administration Hospital, where he provides comprehensive ophthalmology care to veterans.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Edelstein is dedicated to teaching residents, focusing on clinical optics and refractive optics concepts. His research interests encompass a range of topics including electrophysiology and paraneoplastic syndromes.
