About Me
Dr. Luke Peterson is a fellowship-trained Glaucoma specialist, board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has contributed extensively to the field, publishing multiple book chapters and co-authoring several peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Peterson specializes in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, offering a comprehensive range of treatments including advanced glaucoma lasers and surgical techniques.
He has significant expertise in minimally-invasive glaucoma procedures such as iStent, Goniotomy, and Canaloplasty. Additionally, Dr. Peterson performs small incision and laser cataract surgery, utilizing Toric and Multifocal intraocular lenses to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses after cataract surgery.
Dr. Peterson graduated with highest honors from Montana State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology & Neuroscience. He then went on to receive his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, graduating cum laude. He completed both his ophthalmology residency and a fellowship in Glaucoma at Emory University. Originally from North Dakota, Dr. Peterson spent much of his childhood in Montana, where he and his wife developed a passion for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as golfing, hiking, and skiing.
