Dr. Lucy Franklin is a board-certified ophthalmologist who provides comprehensive eye care for patients in Lexington and the surrounding areas. Born and raised in Lexington, she completed her medical degree at the University of Louisville and then returned to the University of Kentucky for her ophthalmology residency. After training, she practiced as a comprehensive ophthalmologist in Louisville for four years before joining UK HealthCare.

Dr. Franklin is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honor societies. Her clinical practice focuses on a wide range of eye conditions, from routine eye exams to surgical procedures such as cataract surgery. Dr. Franklin is dedicated to providing thorough, patient-centered care and takes the time to explain diagnoses and treatment options to her patients.
