About Me

Lisa Koenig, MD, is an ophthalmic oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She cares for people with cancers of the eye and for patients whose vision has been affected by cancer or its treatments. In clinic, she works to explain complex diagnoses in clear language and partners with patients and families to navigate decisions, drawing on MSK’s multidisciplinary expertise and resources.

Dr. Koenig completed medical school and ophthalmology residency at Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian, followed by fellowship training in ophthalmic oncology at MSK. Her interests include patient-centered communication and coordinated care for both adult and pediatric eye cancers. She sees patients at MSK’s main hospital and the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion, and strives to provide compassionate, comprehensive care that considers both medical and practical needs during treatment.
