About Me
Dr. Jasmine Francis is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in ophthalmic oncology. She practices as an Associate Attending at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she provides care for patients with intraocular cancers including uveal melanoma, lymphoma, and retinoblastoma. Dr. Francis also participates in interdisciplinary teams to treat and study histiocytic disorders such as Erdheim-Chester disease and Langerhans cell histiocytosis. Her approach focuses on delivering the most effective treatments while minimizing side effects for each individual.
As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Francis is actively involved in research, publishing numerous peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. Her principal research interests are intraocular tumors, particularly retinoblastoma and uveal melanoma, as well as the ocular side effects of cancer therapies. She has been honored with an Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and recognized as one of the Top 40 Under 40 in Ophthalmology and Cancer. Her work is supported by research funding from the Macula Society.
