About Me
Dr. Farrokh-Siar is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist practicing at Illinois Glaucoma Center in Chicago. She utilizes technologically advanced treatments for glaucoma and has extensive experience in managing this condition.
Dr. Farrokh-Siar completed her residency at the University of Chicago, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed a glaucoma fellowship at University Eye Specialists under the mentorship of Dr. Theodore Krupin. She later joined the faculty at the University of Chicago as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology. Her research has been recognized with awards including the Beem Fisher Award and Albert M. Potts Award, and she has published numerous articles and book chapters on glaucoma.
Dr. Farrokh-Siar is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Glaucoma Society, and Chicago Glaucoma Society. She is fluent in English, German, and Persian.
