About Me

Dr. Leah Bonaparte-Dotta, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and specialist in Pediatric Ophthalmology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University and her medical education at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also pursued graduate training.

Her clinical experience includes serving patients in North Carolina at Cape Fear Eye Associates in Fayetteville, focusing on pediatric ophthalmology. In this role, she was an attending physician at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, performing hospital consultations and examining premature infants in the NICU for retinopathy of prematurity. Dr. Bonaparte-Dotta has actively participated in conferences, presenting on pediatric ophthalmologic diagnoses and cataract surgery in the second decade of life.

Beyond her domestic practice, she traveled to Guatemala during her fellowship to perform cataract and complex strabismus surgeries, contributing to international eye care efforts. She now welcomes new and existing patients at the Allentown and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania offices, providing expert pediatric ophthalmology services.
