About Me

Dr. Lawrence Halperin is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has specialized in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous for over 20 years with the Retina Group of Florida. He treats a wide range of retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, and macular pucker. Dr. Halperin is committed to providing state-of-the-art compassionate care to each patient.

Beyond clinical care, Dr. Halperin has been an active researcher, serving as principal investigator in more than 50 clinical trials and authoring numerous publications on retinal diseases. He holds faculty positions as a voluntary assistant professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and clinical affiliate professor at Florida Atlantic University. He is also a national trustee of the Foundation Fighting Blindness and has held leadership roles in the American Society of Retina Specialists.
