Dr. Laurence Karns

Dr. Laurence J. Karns is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in cornea and refractive surgery. He specializes in cataract surgery, including advanced technology intraocular lens implants, as well as refractive surgery and the management of numerous ocular diseases. Dr. Karns completed his medical degree at The Ohio State University School of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University, where he served as chief resident.

Dr. Karns is also a passionate advocate for plant-based nutrition and disease prevention. He has lectured on the benefits of a whole-food plant-based diet for reducing the risk of chronic diseases that impact both eye and systemic health. His practice integrates a holistic approach, focusing on patient education and preventive care in addition to surgical expertise.
