Dr. Lauren Keshishian is an ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of eye diseases. She provides comprehensive eye care, including treatment for diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma. Patients can expect a thorough approach to eye health, with expertise in advanced surgical techniques.
A native Michigander, Dr. Keshishian earned her medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical School and completed her ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Health. She further specialized through a fellowship in glaucoma treatment and surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute, making her one of the few specialists in the area with this advanced training.
Dr. Keshishian has practiced in both academic and clinical settings, including roles at Kresge Eye Institute and the Detroit Veterans hospital. She is actively involved in the ophthalmology community, serving as an Ambassador for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and holding memberships in societies such as the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Glaucoma Society.
