About Me
Dr. Kyle Kirkland is an ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. He completed his undergraduate degree at Baylor University and earned his medical degree from the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth. His ophthalmology residency was at the University of Arkansas, followed by a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at the top-ranked Duke Eye Center in North Carolina. During his training, he worked with renowned surgeons in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Kirkland grew up in West Texas as the son of an ophthalmologist and has been involved in mission trips to restore sight in Mexico since before his training. He has served as a missionary surgeon in Honduras and plans to continue participating in global missions. His commitment to ophthalmology from an early age has been recognized with awards, including the 2018 Mary and Raymond Morris Ophthalmology Residency Award and the 2020 Ophthalmology Resident Teacher of the Year Award. He is dedicated to providing the patients of the Greater Bryan/College Station area with top expertise and patient-centered care.
Dr. Kirkland and his wife, Rachael, have four young children. He enjoys being involved in his children's activities and following his faith.
