Meet Dr. Kurt Jackson
About Me
Dr. Kurt Jackson is a vitreo-retinal surgeon with more than a decade of experience specializing in medical and surgical eye disease and is the founder of Jackson Eye Care. He specializes in managing all diseases of the retina, vitreous, and macula, including macular holes, retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, ocular trauma, and macular degeneration. Dr. Jackson has served as an investigator for nationally recognized clinical research trials seeking newer and more effective surgical and pharmacological treatments for vitreo-retinal pathologies.
Dr. Jackson is fluent in both English and Spanish. His background includes service in the U.S. Army as a medic and eye technician. He completed his medical doctorate at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, a transitional internship at New York Hospital Medical Center, and his residency in ophthalmology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident at Jacobi Medical Center. He further honed his expertise through a two-year vitreo-retinal fellowship at South Texas Retina Consultants.
With a commitment to bringing quality ophthalmic care to his patients, Dr. Jackson has practiced in Texas, North Carolina, and New Jersey, bringing a wealth of experience to his current practice. He is dedicated to advancing retinal care and looks forward to serving the needs of his patients.
