About Me
Dr. Kristin S Biggee is an ophthalmologist who values hard work and community service, inspired by her upbringing in Western New York. Her love for science led her to medicine, where she contributes to patient health and family well-being. She completed medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an internal medicine internship at UCLA Harbor Medical Center. Her ophthalmology residency was at Georgetown University, after which she practiced as a general ophthalmologist in Washington, DC. She moved to Portland, Oregon, for additional subspecialty training in uveitis at the Casey Eye Institute and has since embraced the area's outdoor lifestyle and community spirit.
As a general ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon, Dr. Biggee specializes in uveitis, managing intraocular inflammations and infections, including those related to systemic diseases. She has extensive experience treating diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, and macular degeneration. Her practice philosophy centers on educating patients about their eye conditions and treatments, and she works with a supportive team to provide efficient, compassionate care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Biggee believes in maintaining physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. She enjoys hiking, yoga, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with family.
