Dr. Knut Eichhorn

Dr. Knut Eichhorn is an oculoplastic and orbital surgeon who treats conditions of the eyelids, tear drainage system, and eye socket. He sees patients for drooping upper eyelids that block vision, eyelid growths, skin cancer of the eyelids, eyelashes irritating the eyes, abnormal tearing from blocked tear ducts, and eyelid position problems. He also treats thyroid-related eye disease, eye socket growths and infections, and injuries to the eyelids and tear system. Dr. Eichhorn believes in a personalized approach, taking time to understand each patient's concerns and tailoring treatment accordingly. Most patients need surgery, and he finds deep satisfaction in using his skills to improve their quality of life.

Dr. Eichhorn earned his medical degree from Oxford University in the United Kingdom. He completed advanced fellowship training in oculoplastic, orbital and neuro-ophthalmic surgery at the University of Minnesota and in ocular oncology at the University of California San Francisco. His residency in ophthalmology was at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and he completed an internship in surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Eichhorn practices at HealthPartners Specialty Center in Saint Paul and at HealthPartners Plastic Surgery and Dermatology in Woodbury, and he speaks English and German.
