About Me
Dr. Kenneth A. Beckman is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cornea specialist who serves as Director of Corneal Services at Comprehensive EyeCare of Central Ohio. He has been practicing in Columbus since 1996 and is a clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Beckman's clinical expertise focuses on corneal and cataract surgery, external disease, dry eye, keratoconus, and corneal crosslinking. He performed the first FDA-approved corneal crosslinking procedure in Ohio and has served as principal investigator for numerous clinical trials related to dry eyes, ocular surface disease, and corneal crosslinking.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Beckman is involved in several professional organizations, including as a past president and founding member of the Cornea External Disease and Refractive Surgery Society (CEDARS) and a founding member of the American European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgeons (AECOS). He also serves on the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) Cornea Clinical Committee.
