About Me
Dr. Kelly Lorenz is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the treatment of glaucoma and cataract surgery. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Wake Forest University and The Ohio State University, respectively, before completing her Ophthalmology residency and a specialized glaucoma fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital.
Dr. Lorenz became a board-certified fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2012. She practiced in Los Angeles before moving to Alaska, where she served as Medical Director of Ophthalmology at the Alaska Native Medical Center and was honored as Employee of the Year in 2014. Her background also includes work in cytogenetic technology and clinical oncology research, with a focus on nutrition and cancer prevention, an interest she integrates into her holistic approach to patient care. In addition to her ophthalmology practice, Dr. Lorenz has a strong interest in functional and holistic medicine. She runs a separate functional medicine practice, Pulse Harbor Medicine, which offers personalized programs focused on nutrition, lifestyle, and wellness to address conditions like weight management, hormonal imbalances, and autoimmune conditions.
