About Me

Dr. Kathryn Pepple is an ophthalmologist specializing in uveitis and medical retinal diseases. She completed her MD and PhD at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by an ophthalmology residency and medical retina fellowship at Duke University, and then a uveitis fellowship at the University of Washington.

Dr. Pepple's clinical practice focuses on treating patients with uveitis, including iritis, pars planitis, retinitis, choroiditis, and scleritis, as well as medical retinal conditions such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular diseases. Her patient care philosophy centers on preventing vision loss and blindness through high-quality clinical care and the development of new treatments.

As a clinician-scientist, Dr. Pepple is actively involved in research aimed at understanding the mechanisms of ocular inflammation and developing novel therapies for uveitis. Her work integrates advanced imaging technologies to improve both clinical and pre-clinical studies.
