About Me
Dr. Karen M. Gehrs is a clinical professor of ophthalmology and visual sciences at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. She specializes in vitreoretinal surgery, caring for patients with retinal and vitreous conditions. Dr. Gehrs earned her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed an internship at St. John's Mercy Medical Center. She then pursued ophthalmology residency and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Duke University Eye Center, where she also served as chief resident.
At the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Dr. Gehrs provides expert care for a range of retinal disorders.
