About Me
Dr. Kara A. Dolezal is a pediatric ophthalmologist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and an assistant professor with the University of Cincinnati Department of Ophthalmology. She cares for children and young adults with eye conditions that can affect vision development, with an emphasis on clear communication and family-centered decision-making.
Her clinical interests include pediatric glaucoma, strabismus in children and adults, cataracts, congenital eyelid and tear-duct disorders, and retinopathy of prematurity. She earned a BS in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Dolezal completed ophthalmology residency training at George Washington University and advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the W.K.
