About Me
Julia Xia, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with fellowship training in uveitis and ocular immunology. She treats inflammatory and infectious eye disease across the spectrum of anterior, intermediate, and posterior uveitis, and performs cataract surgery with a thoughtful, individualized approach. Dr. Xia also offers minimally invasive glaucoma surgery when appropriate and partners with patients to balance disease control, vision quality, and treatment burden.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Xia graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University and earned a Fulbright Scholarship before receiving her medical degree from Emory University, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed ophthalmology residency and a dedicated uveitis fellowship at the University of Colorado. She enjoys educating patients about their condition and has published research in leading journals.
