About Me
Dr. Julia "Michelle" White is a board-certified ophthalmologist who cares for adults with glaucoma and a wide range of general eye conditions. After medical school at Georgetown University, she completed ophthalmology residency at VCU Health and advanced fellowship training in glaucoma at the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Callahan Eye Hospital. Dr. White offers the full spectrum of glaucoma care—from medicines and laser therapies to traditional operations and newer minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS). She also provides comprehensive services such as cataract evaluation and surgery as well as ongoing care for diabetes-related eye disease and macular degeneration.
Patients value Dr. White’s calm explanations, attention to detail, and long-term partnership approach to protecting vision. Guided by Georgetown’s cura personalis ("care of the whole person"), she tailors each plan to a patient’s goals and lifestyle.
