About Me
Dr. Julia Malalis is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with additional fellowship training in uveitis. She cares for patients with ocular inflammatory conditions and works closely with individuals who need careful, long-term medical management to protect vision and eye comfort. In addition to treating inflammation, she performs cataract surgery and provides preventive eye care such as comprehensive exams, diabetic eye evaluations, and glaucoma screening.
Dr. Malalis earned a degree in Biological Sciences from Northwestern University and received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed ophthalmology residency training at Loyola University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident, and then completed a clinical uveitis fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She has contributed to the medical literature, including co-authored journal articles and book chapters focused on the management of uveitis. Dr. Malalis is committed to clear communication and individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
