Meet Dr. Joshua Busscher
About Me
Dr. Joshua Busscher is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist who recently joined the prestigious group of surgeons at Johnson City Eye Clinic. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Busscher's main focus is on corneal diseases, treatment, and surgeries, and he also provides cataract and refractive surgeries and the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome and meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). He brings an array of cornea treatment and surgery options surpassing all that has been previously available in the region.
Dr. Busscher completed his B.A. at the University of Virginia and earned his Doctor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, followed by a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at Emory University.
