About Me
Dr. Joseph D. Iuorno is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist at Commonwealth Eye Care Associates, serving patients in Henrico and the Richmond, VA area. He specializes in ophthalmic consultation and co-management, with a focus on cornea and cataract surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Iuorno has been involved in academic medicine. He served as the Director for the VCU Department of Ophthalmology Residency Training Program from 2005 to 2011 and currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor. He has also participated as a professor in the Osler Institute Ophthalmology Review course and as a principal investigator in an FDA study on cornea collagen crosslinking.
