Dr. Jordan Burnham

Dr. Jordan M. Burnham is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal conditions. A Baton Rouge native, he returned to Louisiana in 2018 after completing more than a decade of medical and surgical training. His goal is to provide modern and compassionate care for patients throughout the greater Baton Rouge area.

Dr. Burnham completed a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and trained in ophthalmology at the same institution. He also completed an internal medicine internship and his medical education at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

His clinical interests include floaters, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachments, and he performs advanced vitreoretinal procedures such as scleral buckle surgery and vitrectomy when appropriate. He is also involved in community outreach efforts, including work with Blind Grace and participation in international medical mission trips.
