Dr. Jonathan Lu

Dr. Jonathan Lu is an oculofacial plastic and orbital surgeon at UCSF Health. He specializes in medical, surgical, and aesthetic care of the eyelids, tear drainage system, and orbit, helping patients restore comfort, function, and appearance after injury, illness, or age-related change. His practice includes evaluation and treatment for droopy upper lids, malpositioned lower lids, tearing from blocked tear ducts, and complex orbital disease, as well as cosmetic eyelid and facial rejuvenation using both minimally invasive options and surgery.

Dr. Lu completed an oculoplastic surgery fellowship at Mass Eye and Ear, an ophthalmology residency at the University of Southern California, and an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from the UC Davis School of Medicine. In addition to his clinic work, he serves on the multidisciplinary Adult Neurofibromatosis Type 1 and Schwannomatosis Clinic team at UCSF, providing specialized care for patients with tumor-related orbital and eyelid conditions.
