About Me
Dr. Jonathan Mines is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal and vitreous diseases. He provides expert care for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, retinal tears, and retinal detachments. Dr. Mines is dedicated to personalized, evidence-based treatment to help patients preserve and restore their vision.
Dr. Mines earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University, completed his ophthalmology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, and received fellowship training in Retina and Vitreous Surgery at Emory University. He integrates the latest imaging technologies and surgical techniques into his practice.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Mines volunteers with the Good Samaritan Health Clinic and is involved with the Pinellas County Lighthouse for the Visually Impaired, helping improve access to vision care in the community.
