Dr. Jon Berry

Dr. J. Christian Berry is a Texan by birth and was raised in San Antonio, Texas as the oldest of seven children. He attended Baylor University, where he majored in Business Fellows and Finance, graduating summa cum laude. After a brief stint in a business internship, he elected to follow in his parents' footsteps and begin his medical training at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, where he was actively involved in the Christian Medical and Dental Association.

Dr. Berry has been trained as a comprehensive ophthalmologist at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, one of the nation's top residency programs, with additional fellowship training in the clinical and surgical management of glaucoma and anterior segment disorders. He performs the most modern ophthalmic surgical and laser techniques including cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and more advanced glaucoma surgeries. He also has an interest in the treatment and management of retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and vascular occlusions. He is delighted to be joining the team of physicians at Alamo City Eye Physicians.
