About Me
Dr. Johnny Tang is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal medicine, surgery, and uveitis. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of medical, inflammatory, and hereditary diseases affecting the macula, retina, and vitreous. Dr. Tang completed his ophthalmology residency at North Shore University-Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by fellowship training in hereditary eye diseases at the National Eye Institute, National Institutes of Health, and additional fellowship training in vitreoretinal medicine and uveitis.
Dr. Tang provides comprehensive and medical retina care, with particular expertise in age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, uveitis, and hereditary retinal disorders. He utilizes the latest medical therapies, including anti-VEGF agents and laser treatments, to manage these conditions. His approach focuses on preserving vision and improving quality of life through personalized treatment plans.
