About Me
Dr. John William Branch was raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, and developed an early love for the outdoors and sports. He earned his bachelor's degree at Clemson University, where he was active in Young Life and served as an assistant football coach. He then completed his medical training at the University of South Florida and a transitional internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas. Dr. Branch returned to the University of South Florida for his ophthalmology residency, during which he performed more cataract surgeries than any other resident in the program's history.
After residency, Dr. Branch helped establish the division of ophthalmology at the Greenville Hospital System in South Carolina, where he served as a staff surgeon and taught residents and medical students. He founded Texas Vision with the mission of providing the highest level of clinical and personal care. Dr. Branch specializes in cataract surgery, LASIK, and PRK, offering the most advanced technology in custom LASIK. He also has extensive experience with the latest lens implants to correct presbyopia, reducing or eliminating the need for reading glasses. In addition to surgical care, he provides comprehensive routine eye exams to maintain and protect his patients' vision.
