About Me
Dr. Marie Bui is a board-certified ophthalmologist and award-winning cataract refractive surgeon who has been serving the Austin and Central Texas area since 2013. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and grew up in Port Arthur, Texas. She completed her undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin and earned a master’s degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Dr. Bui received her medical training at McGovern Medical School in Houston. She then completed her internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin and returned to the Texas Medical Center for her ophthalmology residency at McGovern Medical School, where she served as chief resident. She specializes in cataract, microinvasive glaucoma, and refractive surgery, and is committed to providing personalized care using the latest technology.
Dr. Bui has been recognized as a "Super Doctor - Rising Star" by Texas Monthly Magazine and a "Top Doctor in Ophthalmology" by Austin Monthly Magazine. She takes a personal approach to each patient, spending time to understand their needs and providing the safest, most reliable, and innovative care available.
