Dr. John Owen

Dr. John Owen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, completed his ophthalmology residency at UAB's Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, and further specialized with a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Indiana University.

With over 35 years of experience in ophthalmic practice, Dr. Owen provides exceptional and expert comprehensive eye care and vision services. He sees patients at the Lions Clinic within the UAB Hospital-Callahan Eye, part of the UAB Callahan Eye network, focusing on a full range of ophthalmic conditions and delivering thorough evaluations and management.
