About Me
Dr. John D. Phillips is a comprehensive ophthalmologist based in Jacksonville, Arkansas. A native of Richardson, Texas, he completed his undergraduate training at Texas A&M University before earning his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. His medical training included a one-year internship in pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas and a four-year residency in ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock.
Dr. Phillips joined Dr. George Paddock in Jacksonville in 1997 and co-founded Eye Physicians & Surgeons. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology, treating a wide range of medical and surgical eye conditions while also performing routine eye examinations. His special clinical interests include cataract surgery, diabetic retinopathy management, and eyelid procedures. Dr. Phillips welcomes patients to the practice and considers it a privilege to serve the community's eye care needs.
