About Me
Dr. Jodie A. Armstrong is a board-certified ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon practicing at Ocala Eye in The Villages, Florida. She joined the practice in August 2006 and specializes in premium cataract surgery and diseases of the anterior segment. Dr. Armstrong utilizes advanced no-shot, no-stitch techniques and the latest methods for astigmatism reduction to achieve optimal visual outcomes for her patients.
Born and raised in Florida, Dr. Armstrong completed her medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2000. She then completed a transitional internship at Inova Fairfax Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following her training, she served as an assistant professor of clinical ophthalmology at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and as Chief of Ophthalmology at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Miami.
Dr. Armstrong’s clinical interests include general ophthalmology and preventative eye exams. She is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds memberships in several professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
