About Me
Jessica Watson, MD is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the retina and vitreous. She cares for patients with conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, retinal detachment, and macular degeneration, and she offers both medical and surgical treatment options based on each patient’s needs.
Dr. Watson completed fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and ophthalmology residency training at the Scheie Eye Institute. She earned her medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Before joining the Bangor community, she practiced in Portland, Maine. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children and exploring the outdoors.
