About Me
Dr. Jeffrey K. Moore is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who evaluates and treats conditions affecting the vitreous and retina. He cares for patients with retinal disease such as diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, macular degeneration, and severe eye injuries, and he aims to provide clear guidance so patients understand their diagnosis, timing, and treatment options.
Dr. Moore is a graduate of Bowdoin College and received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine. After a medical internship at Brown University, he completed ophthalmology residency and vitreoretinal fellowship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Prior to joining Maine Eye, he served on the Bascom Palmer faculty as chief resident and director of emergency services and ocular trauma. Dr. Moore is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and serves as an assistant clinical professor at Tufts University School of Medicine.
