About Me
Dr. Richard A. Bazarian is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon who focuses on diagnosing and treating complex retinal conditions. He cares for patients with macular diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal detachments, and he brings extensive experience with both vitreoretinal surgery and office-based injection and laser procedures. His goal is to help each patient understand what is happening in their eyes and what treatment options can realistically achieve.
Dr. Bazarian completed undergraduate studies at Princeton University and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. After additional surgical training, he pursued specialized retina training with residency and fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He has served as a medical educator, hosting trainees in the clinical setting, and has held leadership roles within ophthalmology and health system departments.
