Dr. Jeffrey Minkovitz

Dr. Jeffrey Minkovitz is an ophthalmologist practicing in Wilmington, Delaware, specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. He has extensive experience in corneal transplantation and laser vision correction. Dr. Minkovitz has been at the forefront of introducing advanced surgical techniques to Delaware, including laser-assisted cataract surgery and DSAEK, a minimally invasive corneal transplant procedure.

Dr. Minkovitz completed his cornea and refractive surgery fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins. He has participated in early research on Excimer Laser refractive surgery and has offered this procedure to patients since FDA approval in 1996. In 2016, he founded Laser Vision Delaware to bring the latest refractive laser technology to the state.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Minkovitz has been recognized as a Top Doc in ophthalmology by Delaware Today Magazine and has served as an invited instructor at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meetings. He is on active staff at Christiana Care and co-founded the Center for Advanced Surgical Arts.
