About Me
Dr. John J. Ruffini is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the cornea and provides comprehensive eye care services. He treats a wide range of eye conditions, including corneal diseases, cataracts, refractive errors, and other general ophthalmology needs. As a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Dr. Ruffini is dedicated to advancing patient care.
Dr. Ruffini completed his medical education at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, followed by an internship at Bryn Mawr Hospital and an ophthalmology residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He further subspecialized with a cornea fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine in New York. He has authored publications in ophthalmic literature and previously served as president of the Taylor Hospital Medical/Dental staff. Dr. Ruffini is affiliated with Starer-Rizzo-Ruffini Ophthalmic Associates, providing expert eye care to the community.
