Dr. Jean Park

Dr. Centrael Evans (often called Sonny) is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who provides medical, laser, and surgical care for a wide range of eye conditions. He is especially focused on helping patients protect vision over time through thoughtful diagnosis, clear communication, and evidence-based treatment. An Athens native, Dr. Evans earned a degree in Biology from Brigham Young University and received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine. During medical school, he was recognized as a Global Health Institute Field Scholar for work focused on pediatric cataracts in Zambia. Dr. Evans completed ophthalmology residency at SUNY–Buffalo, serving as Chief Resident. He has been recognized for professionalism and compassion through the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received support for community-based research aimed at improving outcomes for patients with ophthalmic emergencies. His clinical interests include cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and traumatic eye injuries.

Dr. Lily Hipp is a board-certified, glaucoma fellowship-trained ophthalmologist in Savannah who cares for complex eye conditions with a steady, patient-first approach. She enjoys teaching patients about their diagnoses and options so they can make confident decisions—whether they’re navigating glaucoma, planning cataract surgery, or seeking a second opinion. Her clinical background spans both medical and surgical care for glaucoma and cataracts. A National Merit Scholar, Dr. Hipp graduated summa cum laude with Highest Honors in Microbiology from the University of Georgia and earned her MD at the Medical College of Georgia. She completed a transitional year in Denver, ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University (chief resident), and a glaucoma fellowship at Baylor University. Outside the clinic, she loves gardening, cooking, pottery, and exploring new coffee and tea spots.

Dr. Shalin S. Shah is a board-certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist who helps patients protect their sight from the earliest signs of glaucoma through advanced disease. He emphasizes careful evaluation, clear education, and step-by-step treatment plans that may include eye drops, laser procedures, and surgical options when needed. He also provides modern cataract surgery and works with patients to choose intraocular lens options that fit their vision goals and lifestyle. In addition, Dr. Shah treats common eye conditions such as diabetic eye disease and dry eye disease, and offers comprehensive eye care focused on long-term visual health. Dr. Shah completed medical school at Louisiana State University and advanced training in ophthalmology and glaucoma at Ochsner Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
