Dr. Jay Schwartz

Dr. Jay L. Schwartz is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the President of Schwartz Laser Eye Center. He has performed over 60,000 LASIK surgeries and offers both IntraLASIK and Custom LASIK procedures. Dr. Schwartz was chosen as the team ophthalmologist for the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury in 2000 and for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2002, and his center is the official LASIK provider for these professional teams.

In addition to refractive surgery, Dr. Schwartz is an experienced cataract surgeon who utilizes advanced intraocular lenses, including the AcrySof Toric IOL to help treat astigmatism. He provides comprehensive eye examinations and oversees a practice that offers a wide range of prescription glasses and sunglasses. Dr. Schwartz completed his medical degree at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at Midwestern University in 1997, followed by fellowship training with Dr. Charles Casebeer.
