About Me
Dr. Jay Rudd is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience as a refractive and cataract surgeon. Based in Puyallup, Washington, he serves patients throughout the Seattle, Tacoma, and Olympia regions. Dr. Rudd has performed more than 25,000 vision correction surgeries, including LASIK, EVO ICL, SMILE, Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE), and advanced cataract surgery. He was among the first surgeons in the Pacific Northwest to offer SMILE and EVO ICL procedures, reflecting his commitment to bringing cutting-edge technology to his patients.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Rudd is an educator and thought leader in ophthalmology. He serves as a member of the Alcon Speakers Bureau, where he trains other surgeons on advanced multifocal lens implant techniques. He has also been a principal investigator in multiple FDA clinical trials centered on multifocal and toric intraocular lenses. His fellowship training in cornea, refractive, and anterior segment surgery at the John A. Moran Eye Center provides him with advanced expertise in complex refractive and corneal cases.
