Dr. Janet Betchkal

Dr. Janet Betchkal is a glaucoma specialist with over three decades of experience. After completing her glaucoma fellowship in 1989, she served on the faculty at the University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, where she was Associate Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology. For more than 20 years, she has been in private practice in Jacksonville, focusing exclusively on glaucoma care.

Dr. Betchkal is also a leader in the ophthalmology community. She was a founding member and chairman of the Vision is Priceless (VIP) Council, served as Past-President of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and contributed to several American Academy of Ophthalmology committees. In 2015, she received the John R. Brayton, Jr., MD Annual Leadership Award for her dedication and impact.
