About Me
Dr. Janani Singaravelu is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist focused on diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. She earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She was selected for the NIH Medical Research Scholars Program at the National Eye Institute, where she conducted basic science retina research. Dr. Singaravelu subsequently completed an ophthalmic oncology fellowship at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic, and is a surgical vitreoretinal fellow at The Retina Group of Washington.
Her background also includes a Master of Medical Science from Drexel University College of Medicine and an undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied Neuroscience and South Asia Studies and received a Fulbright Student Research Grant for public health research in India. Dr. Singaravelu is committed to compassionate, evidence-based care and partners closely with patients to explain diagnoses, discuss treatment options, and guide them through both medical and surgical care.
